Elisa Steele is Jive’s CEO. In this role, Elisa is responsible for leading and overseeing the day-to-day operations of the premier collaboration so ware company (JIVE: NASDAQ). Since appointed CEO in February 2015, Jive has reset strategy, transitioned to a cloud-leading business, created focus on core enterprise solutions, and delivered turnaround business and financial results. Under her leadership, the company achieved profitability for the first time and delivered record revenue in Q4 of 2016.
Prior to becoming CEO and a member of the Jive Board, Elisa was executive vice president of marketing, strategy and products, where she was responsible for Jive’s vision and end-to-end global marketing and product functions.
Prior to Jive, Elisa was corporate vice president and chief marketing officer of Consumer Apps & Services at Microsoft, including the brands Bing, Internet Explorer, Lync, MSN, outlook.com and Skype, among others. Previously, Elisa was the chief marketing officer at Skype, executive vice president and chief marketing officer at Yahoo! and senior vice president of marketing at NetApp. She has held various sales, business development, general manager and leadership positions at Sun Microsystems and AT&T Business Services.
Elisa received a Silver Award for ‘Executive of the Year’ and a Bronze Award for ‘Woman of the Year’, 2017, from the Stevie American Business Awards. She was named a ‘Woman of Influence’ by the Silicon Valley Business Journal and has served on the Board of Directors for Amber Alert GPS and RMG Networks. She serves as a judge for the annual ‘Forbes Cloud 100’, and has served as a judge for the WSJ ‘Marketers that Matter’ Awards. Elisa was named a top executive by Social Media Marketing Magazine and participates in ‘Fortune’s Most Powerful Women’ community. She is a member of the Churchill Club Academy, asked to nominate and vote for the Churchill Club Awards.
Elisa formally served on the Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) board of directors and executive committee from 2009-2011, and the Forbes Women Executive advisory board. In 2009, Advertising Age named Elisa a “Woman to Watch.” She is a volunteer member for National Charity League, alongside her daughter.
Elisa holds a Master of Business Administration degree from San Francisco State University (Distinguished Alumni) and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of New Hampshire (Phi Kappa Phi Honors).
