Elizabeth Tse is the SVP of Operations at Upwork (formerly Elance-oDesk), the world’s largest freelancing website. She is responsible for Trust & Safety, Customer Support, Global Payments and Freelancer Success. Prior to Upwork, Elizabeth was the COO of Samasource an innovative nonprofit that distributed work to poor women and youth in Africa and South Asia. She was also an advisory board member and the first VP of Customer Success at Zuora, the online subscription billing platform. Elizabeth developed her appreciation for the power of a marketplace while at eBay where she ran billing, payment processing and collections which included their Operations, Product Management, Customer Support and Vendor Management teams. Elizabeth has 9 years of experience in financial services at Providian Financial and American Express where she held leadership roles in Marketing, Credit and Operations.
